We Are A Considerate Design Team (Ideas on how to care for our community)
Music Team:
- Think about the flow of tempo for your set and how it affects people getting up and down.
- When changing instruments have someone else start the song.
- All musicians should be singing all of the time.
- Give physical direction on how the community should engage in each song.
- Start songs right away after art direction is given, with a reminder to the community that they can of course keep working on art throughout the music time.
- Stretch beyond your "comfort songs and styles".
If you create an original song for worship, be open for others to change or add things the next time it is used.
Tech. Team
- There should never be a blank screen (except when the speaker is in control of the slides).
Art Team
Consider ways to help people stay longer than just a few seconds in the art making process.
- Offer multi steps
- Actively be back there yourself making art the whole time.
Solidarity Prayer Team
- Think of ways that will help our community remember to pray about your topic throughout the week.
We are a creative design team (Ideas for future seasons)
Music:
- Songs in other languages.
- Songs written from a particular book of the Bible
- Songs written based on a theme
- Songs from a particular genre
- Songs from a particular time period
- Swap with a team from another site
Art:
- Art that changes the shape of the space.
- Art that is recycled into a new project each week.
- Art that takes the form of a litany.
- Art in the form of movement.
- Art in the form of film.
- Printmaking & Stencils.
- "Color or Collage by number" (create a large image that is broken up into sections for the community to fill in.)
- Mosaics (can be done with paper as well, creating an image that is then torn up and reconstructed in a new way.)
- Give the community something to walk away with each week.
- Collaborate with the solidarity prayer team and/or music team in some way.
- Creatively reading the bible together.
Solidarity Prayer:
- Refugee populations
- Desert peoples
- Going around the world (each week have a different continent),
- Compassion teams
- MCC articles
- Children as humanitarians
